FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
DZYNE Technologies (“DZYNE”), a leading innovator in autonomous defense technology, today announced the recent success of a 70+ hour endurance flight of its Unmanned Long-endurance Tactical Reconnaissance Aircraft (ULTRA) system at the Dugway Proving Grounds in Utah. This strategic U.S. Department of Defense program was developed with the Air Force Research Laboratory Center for Rapid Innovation (AFRL/RSC) and marks a new endurance record for its class of uncrewed aircraft system (UAS), revolutionizing the future of autonomous flight.
DZYNE’s ULTRA system provides customers with a cost-disruptive, long endurance Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) solution to facilitate global access to nearly any operational theater of interest, including GPS degraded and denied environments. ULTRA is designed to reach 70+ hours of flight endurance capability while carrying a variety of operational payloads.
The Honorable Christopher C. Miller, Chief Strategy Officer of DZYNE and former Director of the National Counterterrorism Center and Acting U.S. Secretary of Defense, commented, “after 25 years dominated by cost prohibitive ISR aircraft, DZYNE is modernizing the industry. By combining commercial off-the-shelf components with exceptional software, sensors, and data integration, DZYNE is driving a revolution in military affairs. DZYNE’s accomplishment exemplifies the contributions of vibrant, innovative companies transforming our Defense Industrial Base and contributing to our Nation’s security. The record-setting flight promises to revolutionize the way ISR is conducted and highlights the Department of Defense’s ability to conduct over-the-horizon operations to protect American interests worldwide.”
DZYNE President and Co-Founder Matt McCue stated, “DZYNE is proud to have delivered a unique extended endurance solution that meets the future strategic ISR mission requirements of the U.S. Air Force. ULTRA provides the U.S. Forces and allied militaries with a truly unique platform capable of providing persistent surveillance while simultaneously overcoming the ‘tyranny of distance’ posed by the operating environments of today and the future.”
